Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

Happy Pet Gifts is a brand owned and operated by Popview LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company ("Popview LLC", "we", "us", "our"). This policy covers happypetgifts.com and the emails, orders and support that go with it. Contact us about privacy at support@happypetgifts.com.

2. What we collect

• Order and contact details: your name, email address, shipping address, phone number and what you bought.
• Personalisation content: the names, text and photographs you upload to make your product. Photos are stored in a private, access-controlled bucket, never on a public link.
• Payment details: handled by Stripe, our payment processor. We receive a confirmation, the last four digits and card brand, and fraud signals; we never receive your full card number.
• Device and usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, clicks, scrolls and session replays, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 6).
• Communications: emails you send us, reviews you submit, and your marketing preferences.

3. How we use it

Where privacy laws require a legal basis, we rely on performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and protecting the business, your consent (which you can withdraw), and compliance with law.

• To take, produce, ship and support your order, including sharing production files with our manufacturing partner.
• To send order, shipping, delivery and review-request emails, and, if you opt in, marketing emails you can unsubscribe from at any time.
• To prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms, and comply with tax, accounting and legal obligations.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it, including through analytics, heatmaps and session replays.
• To measure advertising and show you relevant ads on other platforms, where you have not opted out.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with service providers who need it to work for us and are bound to protect it:

• Our production and fulfilment partner, which receives the name, text, photo and shipping address for each order to make and ship it.
• Stripe for payments, fraud screening and tax calculation.
• Shipping carriers for delivery and tracking.
• Email and hosting providers (Resend, Vercel, Supabase) that store and transmit our data in the United States.
• Analytics and advertising partners (for example Microsoft Clarity, PostHog and, where enabled, Meta, TikTok, Google and Pinterest pixels). Sharing with advertising partners may count as a "sale" or "sharing" under some US state laws; see section 7 for how to opt out.
• Professional advisers, and authorities or others when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a sale, merger or reorganisation of the business.

5. Your photos and how long we keep things

Photographs you upload are used only to produce your order and to handle any question or claim about it. Our production partner accesses them through time-limited links that expire on their own. We delete customer photos and print files 90 days after delivery unless a dispute is open. Order records, invoices and correspondence are kept for as long as needed for tax, accounting, warranty and legal purposes, typically seven years. Analytics data is kept in aggregate or for the retention period set by the provider.

6. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions (your cart, checkout and security), for analytics (Microsoft Clarity and PostHog, which may record how you interact with pages, with typed text masked), and, when enabled, for advertising measurement (pixels from Meta, TikTok, Google, Pinterest or Snap). You can block or delete cookies in your browser; essential cookies are needed for checkout to work. Where a consent banner is shown, we honour your choice. We do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, but we do honour Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of ad sharing where required.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah and other US states, the EU/UK and Canada), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale" or "sharing" of your information, to limit use of sensitive information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise any right, email support@happypetgifts.com with the subject "Privacy request". We will verify your identity using your order details and respond within the time the law requires. You may use an authorised agent where the law allows. If we deny a request you may appeal by replying to our decision.

Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link. Transactional emails about your order are sent regardless of marketing preferences.

8. Security

We protect information with access controls, encryption in transit, private storage for customer photos, and payment handling delegated to a PCI-DSS Level 1 processor. No method is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a breach affecting you, we will notify you as the law requires.

9. Children

The Services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where that is the applicable age). A photo of a minor may be uploaded only by a parent or legal guardian for a personalised product. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact support@happypetgifts.com and we will delete it.

10. International visitors

We are based in the United States and process data there. If you visit from elsewhere, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those of your country.

11. Changes and contact
